Reasonably clean property, very welcoming and friendly staff. Perfect food in the restaurant, delicious breakfast with perculated coffee and locally sourced ingredients, as for instance. Easy to get to, peaceful location right by the boats on the river and highlands beyond, the canal, and the centre of Inverness. Also, in a lovely mezzanine dining area;)))

Couple's lovely retreat
The owners, Linette and Dermot, really made it special with their warm welcome and helpful tips about local spots. The terrace attached to our room was a perfect spot for evening relaxation.
It was a bit pricey but worth every penny.

Everything in Inverness House exceeded my expectations. The Junior Suite with Balcony offered a beautiful view overlooking the garden. Each morning, I looked forward to breakfast in the good mezzanine dining area filled with a variety of delicious options. Linette and Dermot, the hosts. Their local insights transformed our stay. Walking along the Caledonian Canal was relaxing, and the community was friendly. The limited dining options on-site were a downside. Knowing that we didn't have many choices for lunch or dinner nearby made planning meals a bit challenging. The need for better signage around the hotel caused some confusion initially. Despite a couple of minor issues, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for anyone looking for comfort and a touch of local charm.

We had a right treat at this gaff! The lovely lounge was perfect for chillin’ with views of the garden, and brekkie options were spot on. Only snag, could use a bit more choice for dinner nearby, innit?

We loved strolling along the nearby Caledonian Canal, where the scenic beauty was perfect for our family and our two dogs. Plus, the kids enjoyed a nice boat trip that led us to the famous Loch Ness. Definitely a highlight!
My wife says that having more kid-friendly dining options would be great.
